My name is Claire Potts. I would like to welcome you and your child to KG2 at Gems World Academy.
Kindergarten is a time of new beginnings, of making friends, and of learning lots of new things each and every day. Our days and weeks will be filled with many wonderful experiences and opportunities for learning and growing.
Children are always proud of the work they create and are anxious to share their new skills. Families can help at home by reading to and with their child daily, and encouraging them to write and draw. Young children learn as they play and their play is their work. Friedrich Froebel said that "Children learn through playing - play is not idle behavior" so ... our days will be full of learning all of the time this year as he or she joins in the tasks ahead.
Throughout the year I will communicate with you through notes, newsletters, quarterly reports and parent-teacher conferences and of course this blog.
