Assembly

The children did an amazing job in assembly today - they made me very proud and with the smiles on their faces I know they were very happy and proud with themselves aswell.

If you missed it or just want to watch it again you can find the livestream below. I've also added the slide shows for the assembly as well so you can see them in more detail.

Only 36 days left till the end of the school year!

Transport

wow - what an exhausting day!
  • a ride on a bus
  • a walk through the souks
  • a walk along the creek to see the boats loading goods to be transported
  • a ride on an abra
  • a trip on the metro and finally ... a picnic in the park
Could we squeeze any more into a field trip?

Beaches and Oceans

We've discovered all about our beaches and oceans. The animals that make it their habitat and the uses of beaches and oceans. Over the past few weeks we have focused on our impact to this environment both the positive and the negative! The students of KG2 had one final message they wanted to give. They chose the topic, pictures and the way they wanted to deliver the message and with a litle help we put them together into a video. Watch our message to our parents, family and friends on how you can help us protect our beaches and oceans?

We made it to 100 days in school! We celebrated by making necklaces using 100 cheerios. We used many skills to complete them: patterning, fine motor, counting by 10’s.

Noodle soup

After our trip to the fish market we carried on our investigation into the animals we find in our oceans. With bags full of seafood we explored the animals further, how does the crabs legs move? What is inside a fish? How many legs does a shrimp have? of course no investigation would be complete without using our sense of taste!

It was stinky, slimy and noisy but the children had a wonderful time. Their initial disgust and nose holding quickly turned to wonder and delight as they prodded, pocked and examined everything and anything they could find.
